GUTTER CLEANING SAN MATEO COUNTY: How and what we do?
Most of the time we will hand scoop the debris out of your gutters. We also have several tools specially designed for gutter cleaning. One of the tools – A giant spoon. It looks like a spoon you use to eat with, but it’s big as your hand. Perfect for scooping the debris from the gutter. Another tool, is a scoop looking device. This tool works good in conjunction with the spoon, scooping all debris to transfer to a bag. After pulling the debris from the gutters we either transfer it to the bucket, then the bag. We finish by checking for clogged downspouts.
If your roof has debris (pine needles, leaves, etc..) we use a leaf blower to remove them. This is usually done first before clearing debris from the gutters.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN DOWNSPOUTS ARE CLOGGED?
It’s easy to spot a clogged downspout. When removing debris from the gutter, if a chunk is pulled from the mouth of downspout and there’s still debris going down the throat, it’s usually a sure sign it’s clogged. At this point we have a couple options. Sometimes a simple flush will do the trick. When this doesn’t work we run a plumbers snake down to loosen and free debris.
